We see what we want to see, and not what we need to see. Sometimes things can be right in front of our eyes, but we’re so blinded that we have no idea their right there. Have you ever really thought about it? You’ve got this girl, head over heels in love with you. She’d do anything for you, she’d go to the moon and back for you. But for some reason, you’re still stuck in that world you’re living in. You know it’s not working out with the girl you have now, you say you can’t stand the way she treats you, but you stay with her because of her looks. It doesn’t matter if the other girl doesn’t have a size 2 waist, and that’s what you don’t want to see. Learn now, that most people don’t marry the loves of their lives, they’ll just marry for compatibility; for friendship, because they’ve spent so long ignoring the one for them, and now they have no one.
Almost all of the time when you’re in a relationship and it’s not working out, it’s because you’re going out with the wrong person. While the right person might be the person who you thought you would have nothing in common with, but have never known because they weren’t necessarily up to your “standards” and so you’ve never spoken to them. We’re so blinded by things that won’t matter later on in life, that I think we miss out on so many good people. It’s so common and I know we all hear it “If she was a little skinnier I’d date her” and “If he was a little more built I would date him” it’s so sad. Many times more often than not we choose to talk and go out with people who are so common, who are just like everybody else in this world. What happened to talking to someone with originality and realness.
I bet there are plenty of people in this world and in tumblr who probably thought they would never get with the person they’re with right now, because they probably thought they were ugly or not cool enough, until they actually spoke to them. We should give everyone a chance, we should speak to the people who don’t get spoken to, we should hang out with those who don’t get much company, we might be missing out on someone who can add greatness to our lives. Someone decided to give us a chance so we can show our true selves, let’s do the same and let someone else show us who they can be. Talk to someone you’ve never thought of speaking to, give someone a hug, love someone new. You never know, that person might end up becoming the love of your life. <3
sometimes i feel like guys just want a PERFECT girl and its just not going to happen, im right infront of you…but thats just not good enough right? you may lose me in a couple months…take chances…you have me in your life right now..isn’t that good enough? :o
